Hello
I am an ambitious first-year student at Georgia Tech.
I am passionate about applying data science and deep learning to solve the world's toughest problems and enact impactful change.
My Vision
I strongly believe that as the role of computing continues to grow, the need to design programs around our most human qualities becomes increasingly paramount. As I analyze today's technological landscape, I continue to discover areas where technology detracts from the experience it is designed to complement (take the removal of analog controls from new car interiors, for example). Using data analytics and deep learning, companies have the ability to understand the human experience like never before, and I want to harness these insights to create a future where technology is no longer a distraction, but a natural extension of ourselves.
My Story
Rohith Nibhanupudi is a first-year Computer Engineering student attending Georgia Tech specializing in Data Science and Machine Learning with professional experience in software development and peer tutoring. His background in computer science, mathematics, and engineering informs his rigorous problem-solving approach. Rohith is fueled by his endless curiosity and the never-ending quest for self-betterment. He considers himself a ‘forever student’ who is eager to both build on his academic foundations by achieving highly in his college courses and continually develop lucrative skills through extracurricular organizations, independent learning, and ongoing work experience.
His hunger for knowledge and determination to process, interpret, and act upon data has contributed to his most recent position as a Product Quality Engineer Intern at John Deere for the 2021 Summer work term. For this internship, he will be developing multiple applications that identify and mitigate process risk during tractor manufacturing through a combination of Computer Vision and Deep Learning methodologies. In the months leading up to this experience, he has applied his growing skillset by developing an automated Network Speed Monitor using a Raspberry Pi and engaging in an independent Supervised Learning project while also serving as a PLUS Leader for the PHYS 2212 Classical Electricity and Magnetism course at Georgia Tech.
Rohith believes that passion is the primary key to success, and it is the catalyst for all of his projects and professional experiences. Moreover, he continuously stresses the tenets of a healthy lifestyle, as he regularly engages with his hobbies of model plane collecting as well as his favorite sports - tennis, taekwondo, and football. Finally, Rohith is always seeking new challenges that will help him grow as a creative thinker, and is eager to see where his interests will take him!
